My name is Karel and Vietnam is my life. I have been spending 3-4 months a year in this country regularly for several years now. I travel all over Vietnam but I am most interested in Mekong River area, and life in this area from Laos to its delta in southern Vietnam. Apart from Mekong, sights, people and nature, I am inspired by amazing gastronomy. I have been working as a chef at a castle resort in Austria, not far from Linz for several years. And because I am also a passionate biker, every scooter ride in Vietnam is a great experience. Just the engine capacity I control is a few classes elsewhere.

Asian cuisine cooking classes
Who wouldn’t know the delicious Vietnamese Nem Rolls, Pho soup or Vietnamese Banh baguetes stuffed with fresh herbs and meat? And what about Vietnamese coffee? But even this has its rules of preparation!
My 25 year of work experience in cooking all around the world, and more then 6 years in position of chef in castle resort in Austria, gives me a good basis to pass on my experience.
I regularly organize cooking classes in pre-arranged restaurants in Czech and Slovak Republic every month! Everything is organized so called “turnkey”, all you have to do is to sign up and me and my colleagues will arrange the rest. You only choose the place and focus/theme of the cooking class that will suit you the best!
These cooking classes are suitable for both individuals and corporate clients e.g. for teambuildings. I am, of course, fully available to professional chefs – my colleagues – who would like to broaden their horizons.
The aim of all classes is to pass my knowledge and experience from my annual stays in Vietnam. My innate curiosity and a bit of audacity always directs me to “some” kitchen! Both in professional kitchens and in a number of families, that teach me the variety and diversity of this unique cuisine.

Street food of Vietnam at your home or office!
In recent years, I have always spent several months a year in Vietnamese families, and therefore I am able to present you local specialties the way they are cooked by the locals. I have also traveled thousands of kilometers around Vietnam, and based on that I have prepared a number of photographs and stories.
The event takes place in form of a buffet and usually lasts approx. 4-5 hours.
Projection runs throughout the event and gastronomic service is also provided, including stylish drinks.
Most often, a 5-course menu is served, which is precisely prepared in advance for the smooth running of this unique meeting.
For all those who want to learn a lot of interesting information and want to experience Vietnam at home or in the company, I offer the best that this country has taught me in the form of thematic catering with projection.
